Minister of Culture and Tourism Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş Visited Topkapı Palace Museum

On Thursday 10.08.2017 Minister of Culture and Tourism Prof. Dr. Numan KURTULMUŞ visited Topkapı Palace Museum. After having received a briefing at the Mecidiye Kiosk, which was the last architectural structure of the palace and built during the reign of Sultan Abdülmecid, he visited the Sacred Relics Department and the Marble Terrace. Later in the exhibition, Minister received information about the works of Sultan II.Selim's court table and Sultan II.Osman's Accession portaits at the Sultan Portraits Section. Minister examined the restoration of the Courtyard of Black Eunuchs at Harem and he received information about Golden Road and the Sentence Gate, which had been restored. After visiting Divan-ı Hümayun, he gave information in front of Bab-üssade. After receiving a briefing again at the Kilerli Ward which is using as Directorate building of the Museum, Minister got information about the strenghtening and restoration of the Fatih Kiosk. Minister later examined Seferli Ward and gained information about exhibition works and restoration of the building.
